Lee-Ann is a Nelson based artist. She graduated from Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of visual arts in 2005. Lee-Ann's art is a poignant reflection of her past, immersing in childhood nostalgia and wrestling with personal vulnerabilities. Drawing inspiration from 17th century Dutch Vanitas paintings, she incorporates symbolic objects, flora, and fauna in muted oil colors, portraying unattainable expectations with a vintage aesthetic. Her art captures the profound beauty found within darkness.
