Jack Stobart

Jack Stobart is a Zimbabwean-born, New Zealand stone sculptor living in Arrowtown. Jack comes from a family of artists. Jack’s mother, Louise Stobart a renowned metal sculptor and designer along with her husband Bruce, founded Birdwoods Gallery in Havelock North in 2004. Jack undertook a sculpting apprenticeship in 2018, under the tutelage of internationally recognised sculptor, Tendai Gwaravaza. Jack has exhibited and sold his work both nationally and internationally with his work in collections in Europe, America, Australia and Canada. Jack runs his own gallery in Arrowtown, also called Birdwoods and produces many of his works from his Arrowtown studio.
