Clint C (Clinton Christian) is an award-winning contemporary New Zealand artist focused on creating unique modernist works that are bold, relatable, and often nostalgic. Within his work is a strong sense of identity as he relives childhood memories of 1980s–90s pop culture and, within his art, shares his own personality through themes such as music, television, games, and sweets. Prior to becoming a full-time artist, Clint worked in the construction industry, followed by many years as an architectural designer, and he uses these life experiences in his latest works to create detailed painted wall sculptures with a high-quality glass-like resin finish. Clint has been a full-time artist since 2019, creating realism, mixed media, and sculptural works, with career highlights that include an 80-piece solo exhibition at Auckland’s Flagstaff Gallery and a large commissioned artwork for Eden Park (New Zealand’s National Stadium). Clint has exhibited in many large art shows and fairs throughout New Zealand and Australia, with plans to share his work internationally.
