After a chance viewing of a film featuring August Rodin’s mistress and fellow sculptor Dell ‘knew’ she was a scuptress. She began with portraiture (Sir Robert Muldoon being her most famous sitter). He recommended Dame Whina as a subject and she has been Dell s favourite since. Dell moved onto torsos which morphed into full life sized figures, finished as fired clay or bronze when commissioned. She sold bronze figures through Fisher Fine Arts of Parnell. Her work has been purchased by collectors nationally and internationally.
