Sarah Albisser’s background as a contemporary dancer and choreographer has had a powerful influence on both her life and her art. She is fascinated by movement and self-expression, which over the past decade has resulted in a collection of striking black-and-white portraits of female faces. Devoting herself to a unifying theme for so many years has enabled her to explore and experiment with various techniques and materials, including pens, acrylics, black perspex, and thread.
