Esther Dexter

Esther is a full-time artist who exhibits both in New Zealand and overseas and has sold over 800 artworks worldwide. Her mixed media inventions, using hand-painted shattered glass and LED lights, are now dominating her most popular works. She has lived in many places but now resides in the beautiful Bay of Islands. Her works are often dreamlike and melodramatic, exploring how we remember places and our emotional links to them. She has a strong connection to nature, and her intense emotional energy can be felt in her paintings. When not painting, Esther loves hiking in the hills, and she volunteers for Land Search and Rescue.
