How the Modern Masters Shaped Our Artists

For centuries, artists have learned their craft by studying other artists. This year’s show brings together works by some of the biggest names in art history – think Warhol, Picasso, and Matisse (to name a few!), courtesy of Art by the River Gallery.

Jesse Woolston's giant art set to debut at Art in the Park

Kiwi artist Jesse Woolston has built a reputation for creating large, fantastical, immersive works that play with light, colour and perspective. His multi-sensory installations have been seen all over the world, exploring the scale and power of nature. Jesse uses computational fluid dynamics and cutting edge tech to mimic reality, and he scores his own visuals with contemporary classical music.

This Enormous Installation Will Turn Eden Park Into A Living, Breathing Artwork In November

How, exactly, do we define art? There's the paintings on your walls, the sculptures in your gardens, and the ceramics on your side tables. But if we expand our scope, art exists in the every day facets of our lives; our clothes, our furniture, our makeup and even the natural world we're surrounded by. It's the latter that is the source of inspiration for Kiwi artist Jesse Woolston's new exhibition, The Infinite Constant Front, which will take over Eden Park as part of Art in the Park from 12-15 November.
